Damian Ogbonna, national chairman of the Party, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Il Sung and hold a remembrance meeting, a film show and other political and cultural events on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of his demise.
