S. Korean Authorities Accused of Inciting Military Confrontation against DPRK
Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- The south Korean warmongers recently staged bombing drills aiming at nuclear facilities of the DPRK in south Korea and the U.S. mainland together with the U.S. imperialist aggression forces. On the occasion of June 25, they hurled huge armed forces into the area of the Military Demarcation Line in south Korean Kangwon Province to conduct "2017 unification drill". The "prime minister" and other heavyweights of south Korea went round the forward area to vociferate about "counteraction to existing threats from the north."

The designated defense minister at a "National Assembly" confirmation hearing said he would prepare the south Korean army to combat in the northern area after making the front going up toward the north in contingency. Even the chief executive of south Korea faulted the DPRK and openly incited military confrontation with the north, claiming that "dialogue is possible with the strong defense capability."

Commenting on the facts, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says:

The reckless provocations of the south Korean authorities are a challenge to the righteous appeal and sincere efforts of the DPRK to defuse the military tension.

While talking about "dialogue, they are resort to the military provocations to hurt the compatriots in the north. Their behavior is little short of the reckless deed of the Park Geun Hye group of traitors who ran amuck in the north-south confrontation, in collusion with outside forces during the whole tenure of office.

Dialogue is incompatible with confrontation.

The south Korean authorities should clarify their stand on dialogue or confrontation.

If they truly hope for the north-south dialogue, they should properly understand who their rival is.

If the south Korean authorities persist in provocations, not bearing in mind our warning and advice, they will be held wholly accountable for all the ensuing consequences.
