DPRK People Hail Successful Test-fire of Hwasong-14
Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- Upon receiving the report on the successful test-fire of intercontinental ballistic rocket Hwasong-14 was televised by the Korean Central TV Broadcasting Service at 15:00 on Tuesday, all the army and people of the country are gripped by a great joy.

Ri Un Chon, vice-minister of Metallurgical Industry, in an interview with KCNA, said:

The success in the test-fire of intercontinental ballistic rocket Hwasong-14 is a manifestation of the invincible might of Juche Korea and tremendous capability of its self-reliant national defence industry that has been rapidly strengthened. It is also a great historical victory in putting an end to the persistent nuclear war threat posed by the U.S. against the DPRK.

The news about the successful test-fire greatly encourages the army and people in the country who are rushing ahead like a whirlwind toward the Conference of Mallima Frontrunners.

I am much gratified with just imagining the wretched appearance of the U.S. shocked by the test-fire.

I extend warm greetings to defence scientists and technicians who developed the intercontinental ballistic rocket, true to respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's far-sighted idea for building a nuclear power.

Kim Ryong, secretary general of the C.C, General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea, said:

The success in the test-fire of intercontinental ballistic rocket at the first go-off is a great auspicious event to be specially recorded in national history.

I feel a great pride of being a citizen of a nuclear giant having the most powerful intercontinental ballistic rocket capable of hitting any target in the world as well as nuclear weapons.

In the spirit displayed by the defence scientists and technicians in making the intercontinental ballistic rocket with the might of self-reliance and self-development, I will do my best to solve sci-tech problems arising in building an economic power and improving the people's living standard.
