Ristiyanto, general secretary of the National Guidance Council of the Pioneer Party of Indonesia, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee set a remembrance period from June 25 to July 10 and decided to organize political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Il Sung in the period.
