Kong Sam Ol, deputy prime minister for Royal Palace, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee under an order of King Norodom Sihamoni.

The committee set a remembrance period from June 24 to July 13 and decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary career and exploits of the President through media and organize political and cultural events in the period.
