Lecture meetings were held in Russia, Finland and Guinea and round-table talks in Syria, Mexico and Myanmar.

The chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea said in a lecture that Kim Jong Il's start of work at the WPK Central Committee was of great significance in strengthening the WPK, praising him as a great thinker-theoretician who enriched the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung.

The international secretary of the Finnish Communists' League told about the feats of Kim Jong Il who strengthened the WPK into the party of the leader both in name and reality and into the powerful guiding force of the Songun revolution.

The national leader of the Workers' Party of Mexico and the secretary of the Yangon Regional Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar who is member of its Central Committee referred to the history of Kim Jong Il's guidance over the WPK. They stressed that he built up the WPK into an ever-victorious steel-strong party and a mass party deeply rooted among the popular masses.

Congratulatory messages to respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events in Russia and Finland.
