Labor Rights Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- Unions under the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions reportedly held rallies in different parts of Seoul on July 1 in demand of the abolition of part-time jobs and ensuring labor rights amid the general strike by labor movement organizations.

The Freight Workers' Solidarity headquarters of the Public Transport Trade Union called for ensuring labor rights of workers at the rally attended by more than 4 500 freight and transport workers.

The Democratic General Federation of Trade Unions staged demonstrations in streets, urging the hike of minimum wage and the abolition of part-time jobs in public field.

The Metal Workers Trade Union and the Medical Solidarity Headquarters of Public Transport Trade Union staged an action calling for stable employment.
