There were celebration meetings in Denmark, Germany, the Czech Republic, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and India between June 11 and 18.

Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, praised Kim Jong Il as a great master of independent politics recognized by the whole world, saying he developed the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung into the guiding idea in the era of independence.

Thomas Lichter, vice-chairman of the Federal Republic of Germany-DPRK Association, said the Workers' Party of Korea performed world-startling miracles and innovations in all fields of social life while strictly preserving the revolutionary principle, the socialist principle under the guidance of Kim Jong Il.

Jiri Jarka, honorary chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, said Kim Jong Il set an excellent example in building a revolutionary party while leading the WPK for decades and performed distinguished exploits in building socialism in the DPRK and realizing the cause of global independence.

A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party who is chief of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Kyrgyzstan, Javed Ansari, secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association, and other personages praised the party-building exploits of Kim Jong Il.

A letter to respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting in Denmark.
