Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- With the approach of the 23rd anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung (July 8), the whole country is reverberated with songs of longing for the President. Among them is the song "When We Walk along the Road between Fields" beloved by not only farmers but also other people in the country. The song represents the boundless reverence for the President who had devoted his all to the agricultural development of the country. As its words say, he got knee to knee with farmers to discuss farm work and indicated in detail the ways for their well-being, whenever he visited rural communities. The stories about his devotion for their happiness can be heard from different parts of the country, including Mirim Plain in Pyongyang City, Wonhwa-ri in Phyongwon County of South Phyongan Province and Jaeryong and Anak counties in South Hwanghae Province. Agricultural workers at the Jangsuwon Co-op Farm in Samsok District, Pyongyang say with deep emotion that the song always reminds them of the President calling for distributing land to the tillers during his visit to the farm in the year after the country's liberation from Japan's colonial rule. Therefore, the song will resound throughout the country generation after generation, touching the strings of all people fully determined to uphold the President as the eternal sun of Juche, as a hymn of praise for the legendary loving care of the peerlessly great man for the people. |
