Tani Baler Lopera, international secretary of the Communist Party of Peru (Red Motherland), was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to hold such political and cultural events as remembrance meeting and seminar on exploits to praise the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Il Sung on the occasion of July 8, the 23rd anniversary of his demise.
