The speakers said at the meeting that the successful test-launch demonstrated the heroic spirit of the powerful Paektusan nation and inexhaustible national power dashing ahead like the wind by dint of self-reliance and self-development and represented the great victory that dealt a merciless blow to the enemies making desperate efforts to prevent the dynamic advance of the DPRK.

The eventful occasion is associated with the feats President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il performed in building the independent defense industry from scratch and providing a powerful war deterrent by overcoming all hardships under the uplifted banner of simultaneous development of the two fronts, they stated.
