Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was present at the reception.

Present there on invitation were officials, scientists and technicians in the field of defense science who contributed to the successful test-launch of Hwasong-14.

Also attending there were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior party, state and army officials.

Kim Jong Un appeared at the reception hall of the Mokran House together with Ri Sol Ju and reviewed a guard of honor of the Ground, Naval and Air and Anti-Air Force of the Korean People's Army and the Worker-Peasant Red Guards together with those contributors.

Hwang Pyong So made a congratulatory speech at the reception.

Upon the authorization of Kim Jong Un, Hwang Pyong So warmly congratulated those in the field of defence science on rounding off the intercontinental ballistic rocket of Juche Korea, the powerful strategic weapon system of the Central Committee of the WPK and thus attaining the highest goal at one go in bolstering up the state nuclear force and devotedly defending the prestige of the Party Central Committee.

After making a strategic decision to put an end to seven decade-odd-year-long U.S. imperialists' nuclear threats to the Korean nation and all hostile forces' sanctions and pressure on the DPRK and round off intercontinental ballistic rocket targeting the heart of the U.S. without fail and thus open up the straight course for the final victory, the respected Supreme Leader has always shared joys and sorrows with the scientists and technicians in the field of defence science in the whole course of developing the rocket as the chief designer, chief manufacturer and political commissar of the group of developing Hwasong-14 although he was busy with all affairs of the Party, army and state, the speaker noted.

The days of developing and rounding off Hwasong-14 were the course during which the new strategic weapon was developed and created and, at the same time, the course during which the elite scientific research group, combat rank loyal to the WPK was born to perfectly develop any high-tech weapon system in the shortest period as demanded by the Party Central Committee, he said.

He underscored the need for the scientists, technicians, workers and officials in the field of defence science to uphold the Party's cause of building the Juche-oriented nuclear force with bigger practical success, bearing deep in mind today's glory and happiness.

He called for continuing to develop the Korean-style strategic weapon system, bolstering it both in quality and quantity, steadily consolidating the nuclear arsenal of Juche Korea and thus dealing a heavy blow to the U.S. and its vassal forces while not giving them a breathing spell until they bring the surrender document to the DPRK, and dynamically advancing toward the final victory of the Korean revolution.
