Withdrawal of THAAD Demanded by Chongryon Officials
Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- Officials of organizations of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on July 7 and 8 made public statements as regards the fierce actions of south Korean people against THAAD deployment.

Ri Tong Je, chairman of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification, said civic and social organizations of south Korea surrounded the U.S. embassy in Seoul on June 24 to strongly demand withdrawal of THAAD deployment threatening peace on the Korean peninsula and in the rest of Northeast Asia.

Ri Yong Su, chairman of the Korean Social Scientists Association in Japan, said the U.S. pressure for THAAD deployment and the south Korean authorities' servile moves revealed once again that south Korea-U.S. alliance remains in its name only and south Korea is a colony of the U.S.

All Korean social scientists in Japan will turn out in the nationwide struggle not to allow the criminal THAAD deployment of the U.S. and south Korean authorities but to check the moves in order to prevent nuclear war danger on the Korean peninsula and defend peace and security in Northeast Asia.

Ryang Ok Chul, vice-chairperson of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan, declared that officials of the women's union and other Korean women in Japan would never allow the THAAD deployment by the U.S. imperialists and the moves of confrontation with the compatriots by the south Korean authorities following the U.S.
