The statement said that President Kim Il Sung clarified the three principles of national reunification -- independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity -- which serves as a basis for the settlement of the issue of the reunification.

It went on:

The south Korean authorities denied the three principles of national reunification set forth in the July 4 joint statement, drove the inter-Korean ties to the lowest ebb, yielding to the demand of foreign forces and are going reckless in the anti-DPRK moves.

The south Korean authorities should draw a lesson from the end of the predecessor who incited the confrontation pursuant to the moves of the U.S. to stifle the DPRK and should join it in its consistent struggle to pave a broad avenue to independent reunification by the concerted efforts of the nation.

They should not take part in the moves of foreign forces to unleash a nuclear war while pulling up the fellow countrymen in the north over its measures to bolster up the nuclear force.

We fully support the just struggle of the Korean people for achieving the independent reunification of the country under the wise guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
