Pyongyang, July 12 (KCNA) -- A public candlelight rally took place at the Kwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul, south Korea on July 8 demanding release of prisoners of conscience, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Voice of People. Attending the rally, sponsored by the Committee for Accelerating the Release of Prisoners of Conscience, were more than 2,000 citizens. Speakers there deplored that those of conscience who were jailed by the dictatorial regime are still in prison despite the regime change.
