Korean People's Efforts for Independent Reunification Supported in India
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- The All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association extends invariable support and solidarity to the Korean people's efforts for defusing the danger of a war on the Korean peninsula and achieving the independent reunification of the country.

It said this in a statement on June 24 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

The statement appealed to the world people to struggle against the U.S. and its vassal forces which are only indulging in false propaganda against the DPRK. It went on:

June 25 marks the 67th anniversary of the Korean War ignited by the U.S. on the Korean peninsula.

The atrocities committed by the U.S. during the Korean War were the most brutal crimes against humanity, unprecedented in the history of world wars.

The war ended after the conclusion of the armistice agreement in July 1953, but peace has not yet settled on the peninsula.

The DPRK has always wanted the armistice agreement to be replaced with a peace accord.

Nevertheless, the U.S. has staged large-scale nuclear war drills targeting the DPRK, constantly escalating the tensions on the peninsula.

The DPRK's line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force is the only key to protecting its sovereignty and right to existence and achieving peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and in the region.

The more desperate aggressive war moves of the U.S. would only bring the bitterest ruin to it.
