According to an official concerned, the Hyesan-Samjiyon Railway Construction Brigade under 216 Division completed the construction of bridges and the main railway tunnel and pushes ahead with building other tunnels at the final stage.

The construction of broad-gauge railway is a part of the project for sprucing up Samjiyon County in the northern part of the country.
