U.S. Defense Secretary's Cynical Ploy Denounced

Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- U.S. Defense Secretary Mattis in his official appearance on July 6 described the DPRK's ICBM test-fire as "very grave threat," claiming that the U.S. is dealing with the "nuclear issue of north Korea with economic and diplomatic efforts". He pretended the U.S. was not seeking military conflict. Earlier, at a press conference and a hearing of the U.S. House of Representatives, Mattis said that a war against "north Korea would be the worst calamity," building public opinion that "the U.S. was seeking a diplomatic solution."

Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a commentary in this regard:

Mattis is the peerless bellicose element well known to be a "war-maniac" and "rabid dog" in the overseas aggression wars.

It is ridiculous, indeed, that such warmonger talked about "non-military counteraction" and "diplomatic solution".

No matter how noisily the U.S. talks about the "non-military counteraction" and "diplomatic solution", no one would heed to the remarks.

The U.S. should clearly know that the rival is the nuclear power in the East and the worldwide rocket power, before sounding somebody's opinion.

Such third-rate plot of old warmonger Mattis can never work on the DPRK.

If the U.S. chooses a military option after misjudging a high degree of vigilance and will of the service personnel and people of the DPRK, the former will not escape the bitterest end.

The U.S. imperialist warmongers should not resort to a cynical ploy, clearly understanding their pitiful position.
