Its products were highly appreciated at the 32nd national sci-tech festival and the Pyongyang International Sci-Tech Exhibition of Health and Domestic Medical Appliances.

Through several years of research, its technicians and scientists from relevant units set a number of parameters for the production of peptide foodstuffs and determined the reasonable ratio of confectionary raw materials to peptide.

On this basis, the factory developed nearly ten kinds of peptide nutritive foodstuffs, including cake, milk caramel and jelly, and put their production on an industrial basis.

In this regard, Yun Pyong Song, a workshop head of the factory, told KCNA:

Their application to children in different areas including Pyongyang City proved that they are 1.4-1.5 times higher than other functional foodstuffs in enrichment on an average or 2.2 times to the maximum. And they are highly regarded to be good for sportspersons and the old.

It was confirmed that animal-peptide nutritive foodstuffs bring about mprovements in children's nutrition, promote their growth and have effects of normalizing blood sugar, lowering blood pressure and taking strong antibiotic action.

Now, the factory strives to increase the varieties of nutritive foodstuffs.
