Professorship went to Pyon Kyu Sun, president of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Jon Ji Hyon, dean of a faculty of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Han Song Nam, head of a department of Pyongyang University of Dramatic and Cinematic Arts, and others

Doctorate was awarded to Jin Jae Gyong, head of a department of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Ui Song, a researcher at Pyongyang Medical College under Kim Il Sung University, Yu Song Chol, head of a department of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Ho Nam Chol, dean of a faculty of Kim Chol Ju University of Education, Han Pok Nam, head of a department of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Kim Kyong Chol, vice-dean of a faculty of Pyongyang University of Architecture, and others. The title of assistant professor went to 126 intellectuals and that of master to 878 persons.
