A kick-off ceremony took place in front of the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo in Hyesan City on Wednesday.

The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City and paid tribute to them.

The reporter and speakers at the ceremony stressed that through the tour, all participants should more deeply grasp the greatness and undying feats of the peerlessly great persons of Mt Paektu.

They said that they would fully display the revolutionary comradeship and collectivist lifestyle just like the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and always live just as the anti-Japanese guerrillas did and thus prepare themselves as true officials in the great era of Kim Jong Un possessed of the revolutionary spirit of Mt Paektu and spirit of the blizzards of Paektu.

At the end of the ceremony, members of the tour team went round the monument.
