The head of the WPK delegation referred to the fact that the DPRK succeeded in the test-launch of ICBM Hwasong-14 under the personal guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and the WPK and the people of the DPRK have achieved unprecedented miracles in the building of a powerful socialist nation, firmly defending the sovereignty of the country with the single-minded unity and powerful military capability for self-defence.

He appreciated the Islamic Coalition Party of Iran for staunchly countering the sanctions and pressure of the U.S. and Western countries, stressing the need to develop the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties forged in the joint anti-imperialist struggle for independence.

The first vice-general secretary of the Islamic Coalition Party of Iran said that President Kim Il Sung met Seyed Ali Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, when visiting the DPRK. He said the friendly relations between the two parties and two countries have steadily grown stronger.

The WPK delegation's visit to Iran is an expression of support and solidarity for Iran, he noted, adding that the Iranian people, together with the Korean people, will struggle against the persistent moves of the U.S. and Western countries to isolate and stifle Iran and the DPRK.

Iran is rejoiced as its own over the successful ICBM test-fire of the DPRK, he stated, expressing the firm will to further develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties.

On the same day the WPK delegation was invited to a reception hosted by the first vice-general secretary of the Islamic Coalition Party of Iran.
