S. Korean Authorities Urged to Release Prisoners of Conscience
Pyongyang, July 20 (KCNA) -- According to the south Korean online paper Tongil News, the committee for promoting the release of prisoners of conscience on July 18 condemned the authorities for having refused to set free prisoners of conscience.

The organization noted that prisoners go to prove how poor the human rights situation in south Korea was in nine years of the Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye regimes, adding that human rights can never be improved without the release of prisoners of conscience.

It stressed that the prisons where they are in custody should be opened by the efforts of the people.
