He met Egyptian Ambassador Sameh Lotfi Abdelhady and congratulated the 65th anniversary of the July 23 revolution in Egypt and had a talk with the ambassador.

He said that the bilateral relations are steadily developing under the deep care of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and stressed the need to continue strengthening the historical and traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassador expressed thanks for the congratulatory visit by officials of the Foreign Ministry including the vice-minister and hoped that the long-standing relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would develop on a higher stage in conformity with the common desire of their peoples.

They exchanged views on the situation of the Middle East and the Korean Peninsula.
