The medals were awarded to Karpov, president of the Federation of International Peace Fund who is deputy to the State Duma, Alexandr Zhevin, chief of the Korean Affairs Study Center of the Institute of the Far East of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Duvinski, president of the Council of Moscow Peace Fund.

An event for conferring the medal took place in Moscow on July 17.

Present there were figures of the Russian government, political parties, organizations and the DPRK ambassador to Russia and his embassy officials.
