S. Korean Newspaper Urges Authorities to Set Free Prisoners of Conscience
Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- The south Korean online paper Voice of People carried an editorial on July 19 demanding the release of the prisoners of conscience.

The editorial said that there are many prisoners of conscience in jails of south Korea detained during the Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye regimes.

It stressed that the release of the prisoners of conscience would be the first touchstone proving what will for democracy the present "government" has, though it came to power due to candlelight demonstrations.

The editorial demanded that the "government" come out to set free the prisoners of conscience, though belatedly.
