Anniversary of Kim Il Sung's Demise Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- Lectures, round-table talks and reading sessions were held in Bangladesh, Iran, France, Romania, Mexico, Tanzania, Guinea, Zambia, Angola and Nigeria between June 27 and July 8 to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. The chairperson of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy said that the Korean people are praising the President as the tender-hearted father, noting that his image as the father of the people will be always cherished in the minds of humankind. The chairman of the France-Korea Friendship Association said the revolutionary career of the President was the life of a peerlessly great man who devoted himself to Korea's independence and socialist construction, national reunification and global independence and that his line of building a country independent in politics, self-sufficient in economy and self-reliant in national defence has clearly proved its validity and vitality in an acute confrontation with imperialists. The chairman of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism lauded the President for leading the revolution and construction to victory and glory, enjoying absolute support and trust from the people, possessed of outstanding ideology and leadership and noble virtues for a long period. The vice-chairman of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups praised the President as an elder statesman of world politics and the distinguished great man who explored and glorified the era of independence, noting that the exploits he performed before the times and history would shine forever. The national chairman of the People's Progressive Party of Nigeria stressed that the DPRK could dynamically push forward with socialist construction despite all challenges of imperialists, because the President laid firm foundations for independence, self-reliance and self-defence with his lifelong devotion to the country and its people. |
