The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Korean Friendship Association UK and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification of the Korean Peninsula said this in an article which was posted on internet homepage on July 5 in their joint name.

The article said:

It is the most urgent task at present to ward off a war on the Korean peninsula and achieve reunification.

We appeal to the world progressive people to extend firm support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for reunifying the country.

The world progressive people should support the national reunification movement of the Korean people and expand the struggle against the U.S. hostile policy towards the DPRK world-wide.

And they should intensify the joint struggle for a halt to the illegal sanctions against the DPRK and "human rights" racket against it.

Recently the U.S. imperialists are becoming ever more desperate in their moves to block the reunification of Korea and suffocate the Korean people.

We who support the independent reunification of Korea strongly demand the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea.
