On display in the venue of the meeting were photos showing the exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and books and photos introducing the struggle of the service personnel and people of the DPRK.

Present at the meeting were personages of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo, the DR Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association, the Working Citizens' Association of DR Congo and other units and masses.

Speakers at the meeting congratulated the DPRK on its successful test-fire of Hwasong-14, saying that it was the victory of the DPRK and victory of justice and historic event putting an end to the arbitrariness of the U.S. which threatened the DPRK with nuclear weapons for over half a century and reliably guaranteed peace of the Korean peninsula and the region and showed once again the validity of DPRK's option for self-defence.

It is very just for the DPRK to bolster up defence capabilities for protecting the sovereignty of the country from the U.S. threat for aggression, they said, urging the U.S. to recognize the national power of the DPRK and its strategic position and switch over in the policy toward it.

A statement of solidarity was made public at the meeting.
