Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The DPRK's leading newspapers Thursday dedicate editorials to the 64th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. Rodong Sinmun says that July 27 is the second liberation day for the Korean army and people when they defended the country from the U.S. imperialists' aggression and a holiday of victors who put the U.S., which boasted of being the "strongest" in the world, on a downhill march towards ruin. The Fatherland Liberation War was an all-people resistance the Korean army and people waged against the armed invasion of the U.S.-led imperialist aggressors, in hearty response to the call of President Kim Il Sung, the paper says, adding: In the war against the enemies superior in force, the Korean army and people gave a bitter defeat to the U.S. imperialists showing off the myth of "mightiness" and honorably defended the freedom and independence of the country. They worked miracles unprecedented in the world history of wars by fighting heroically in the do-or-die spirit for the country under the commandership of the President. It is the fixed will of our Party to conclude the protracted anti-U.S. confrontation with the final victory of Juche Korea in our generation and accomplish the historic cause of national reunification. Let's advance forward more vigorously and quickly until the day when the U.S. completely kneels down before us with a white flag raised--this is an oath made by our army and people on the war victory day. Courageous and resourceful sons and daughters of the great Paektusan nation, more dynamically go ahead for the final victory! Minju Joson stresses that no force in the world will prevent our army and people from advancing forward in high spirits, rallied as one in mind around the Workers' Party of Korea, with the revolutionary spirit of Mt Paektu and the fighting spirit displayed to defend the country in 1950s as weapon of sure victory. |
