The statement said it was a great significant event unprecedented in the Korean nation's history of 5 000 years that the army and people of the DPRK resolutely defeated the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces to defend the sovereignty of the nation and the global peace and security.

The great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung's undying feats for victory in the war and the history of the great Generalissimo Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership are being carried forward as the history of steady victory of Songun Korea under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, it stressed.
