Typical of them is the Nampho Fishery Station which has caught scores tons of fish every day and thus overfulfilled its yearly plan.

In this regard, Kang Kyong Su, manager of the station, told KCNA:

Recently, the station has introduced rational methods into fishing and put shoal detection on a scientific basis, so as to catch three times more fish, as compared with the same period of last year.

In particular, girl fishers of the fishing vessel honored with the title of "Daughter of the Workers' Party of Korea-Young Heroine" raised the fish catch per netting by remodeling fishing tackles and improving fishing methods.
