On show at the exhibition were inventions made in the efforts to make the national economy more independent and Juche-based and realize the integration of science and technology and production. The experience gained in the course was exchanged.

20 units including the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, the Education Commission, the State Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Light Industry won a high appreciation there.

More than 80 persons were awarded gold medals and inventor medals and certificates from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Present at its closing ceremony, held at the Sci-Tech Complex Friday, were Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Jang Chol, president of the State Academy of Sciences, and officials concerned and scientists, technicians and inventors.
