Release of Prisoners of Conscience and Repeal of SL Urged in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Members of the Human Rights Center of the Council of Christian Churches in south Korea reportedly staged a demonstration on July 27 in demand of the release of all prisoners of conscience. They contended that to imprison the persons aspiring after national reunification is little short of an act of perpetuating the national division. Members of the Redemption and Prosperity Party, too, held a rally outside Taejon Prison on July 26, urging the authorities to abolish the "Security Law" and set free the prisoners of conscience. |
