DPRK's Bolstering of Deterrent Is Entirely Just: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, July 29 (KCNA) -- Former U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter recently said that the U.S. has made preparations for a war against the DPRK since 1953, constantly increasing its capability.

This fully disclosed that the U.S. has zealously watched a chance to stifle the DPRK by force of arms for decades, says Rodong Sinmun's Saturday commentary.

It goes on:

The army and people of the DPRK once again get convinced that they were entirely just when they decided to have access to the nuclear deterrent and bolster it in quality and quantity.

Had the DPRK failed to have access to nukes and bolster the deterrent but done something else, a war would have already broken out on the Korean peninsula to spill over into a global nuclear war.

The army and people of the DPRK are taking pride in having bolstered its nuclear deterrent in every way in the face of the persistent pressure and sanctions by the hostile forces and manifold trials and tribulations.

Unless the U.S. drops its policy hostile toward the DPRK and stops posing nuclear threat to it, the DPRK will neither put its nukes and ballistic rockets on a negotiating table nor step back on its road for bolstering the nuclear force.
