Americans Reject U.S. Hostile Policy toward DPRK
Pyongyang, July 31 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Peace Council released a statement on July 14 to denounce the administration's hostile policy toward the DPRK.

Charging that the present U.S. administration is extremely straining the situation on the Korean peninsula, taking issue with the DPRK's ICBM test-fire, the statement said:

We, together with all anti-war organizations, urge the present government to make a U-turn in its policy.

The government should work to defuse the tension of the Korean peninsula and no longer resort to provocative acts.

It should not stage military drills around the Korean peninsula.

It should approach to north Korea with good will.

It should include in dialogue the issue of concluding a peace pact to put an end to the Korean War.

It should not set the denuclearization as a precondition for dialogue with the DPRK.

The DPRK has a right to defend its sovereignty.
