National Sci-tech Presentation in Field of Quake and Volcano

Samjiyon, August 2 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation in the field of quake and volcano was held in Samjiyon County, Ryanggang Province of the DPRK, Wednesday under the sponsorship of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Present there were scientists, technicians, teachers and officials of different units, including the Geological Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and Pyongyang University of Architecture.

It heard more than scores of papers conducive to putting the quake and volcano observation and forecast on an IT basis.
