The newspaper Zavtra said in an article:

The U.S. hurled one third of its army, one fifth of its air force and majority of its Pacific Fleet, mercenaries from 15 satellite countries by abusing the name of the UN, south Korean puppet forces and Japanese militarists into the Korean War. The troops numbered more than 2 million in total. The U.S. also mobilized huge combat and technical materials and used 73 million tons of war materiel.

But the loss of troops and military hardware suffered by the U.S. in the war was so huge that it was 2.3 times bigger than that it had suffered in the Pacific War.

Its another article titled "Purpose of GIs' presence in south Korea" gave a detailed account of the facts proving the criminal nature of the U.S. which had inflicted untold misfortune and pain upon the Korean people more than a century ago. It stressed that the U.S. is increasing tensions on the Korean peninsula to an extreme pitch in a bid to perpetuate its military presence in south Korea.

Articles demanding the dissolution of the UN Command and immediate withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea were posted on Russian websites such as Patrioti Moskva and Today's DPRK.
