Seminar on Juche Idea Held in Uganda
Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- A Ugandan national seminar on the Juche idea for unity and development of Africa took place in Kampala on July 28.

On display at its venue were works of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and books introducing the DPRK.

Attending the seminar were personages of the government, organizations and institutions of Uganda and the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and masses.

The participants laid a floral basket at the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il before paying tribute to them.

A congratulatory speech was made at the seminar to be followed by a report and speeches.

Henry Masiko, director general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche idea, expressed expectation that the seminar would serve as a significant gathering conducive to unity and development of Africa and an important occasion in extending support and solidarity to the Korean people.

Mayambala Lawrence, chairman of the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, in a report said that the DPRK turned into a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence and a politico-ideological and military power under the guidance of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and that miracles are being wrought in building a socialist power in the DPRK under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

Daniel Rugarama, chairman of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement, said that the DPRK has turned into a satellite manufacturer and launcher and a nuclear power despite the U.S. moves to stifle the DPRK, adding that Africa should learn from the DPRK's spirit of self-reliance and self-development.

Andre Lohekele Kalonda, secretary general of the African Regional Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, stressed that the Songun politics of the DPRK is a mode of politics the African countries should follow, saying that if any country lacks power, it will become a plaything of the imperialists and it will be impossible to defend the destiny of its people and independence.

The second deputy prime minister of Uganda said it is thanks to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who founded and developed in depth the Juche idea and to the leadership of Kim Jong Un that the DPRK has emerged a politico-ideological power possessed of nukes and ICBM.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar.
