On display there were more than 7,700 varieties of consumer goods produced by industrial establishments and housewives' work-teams across the country.

Pyongyang City presented more than 2,000 varieties of consumer goods, including household electric appliances, knitwear, summer shoes and crafts made with waste cigarette packs.

North Phyongan Province exhibited many new products made with its locally available raw materials.

Among them were kettles and teacups made with trees in Mt Myohyang and lacquered noodle trays and seasoning containers.

Seen at the exhibition were also feather-crafts, glazed earthenware, grass-works, products made with bamboo, ceramics and woodcrafts presented by other provinces of the country.

The exhibition served as an occasion for promoting the exchange of experiences among local communities and encouraging the August 3 Consumer Goods Production Movement.
