Korean People's Victory Day Observed by Foreign Newspapers
Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers dedicated special write-ups to the 64th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The July 26th issue of the Lao newspaper Congtap Pasason Lao carried an article titled "Rare strategist" illustrated with a portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung.

The paper said that it would be unthinkable without Kim Il Sung's rare military stratagem that the Korean people won historic victory by smashing the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces in the Fatherland Liberation War. It noted that he forced the enemies to suffer repeated setbacks by drawing up his original tactical plans at every stage of the war.

The July 25th issue of the Tanzanian newspaper Uhuru allotted one whole page to an article titled "July 27, the victory day" illustrated with a photo of Kim Il Sung and articles subtitled "July 27 of war victory" and "July 27 of eternal victory".

The August issue of the Peruvian newspaper La Patria edited an article titled "North Korea defeated the U.S. in the 1950-1953 war" illustrated with a photo of Kim Il Sung and introduced the phenomenal successes registered by the service personnel and people of the DPRK and the U.S. imperialists' miserable defeat in the period of the war.

The July 25th issue of the Egyptian newspaper Al Akhbar Almassay carried an article titled "Great victory won by the Korean people".

The July 26th issue of the Bangladesh newspaper Daily Nauroz in an article titled "Lesson from the U.S. armed spy ship Pueblo referred to the incident of the spy ship which recorded shameful defeat in the U.S. imperialists' history of aggression upon Korea. It said:

Through the incident, the DPRK fully demonstrated its mettle in which it struggles against those who encroached upon its sovereignty to the end.

The U.S. should draw a due lesson from this.
