The tournament brought together more than 200 men and women players from 25 countries including Italy, Germany and Brazil.

The DPRK players won two gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal.

Kim Kum Hyok, Ri Chung Song, Han Kwang Il, Kim Un Chol and Han Ho Hyon placed first in men's 500-meter hurdle-overcoming relay and Ryu Ok, Kim Su Ryon, Choe Yong Mi and Ri Hyang Hui in women's 500-meter hurdle-overcoming relay and bagged gold medals and trophy cups, setting up new world records.

Women players placed third in the team standing of military pentathlon.

Kim Su Ryon bagged a silver medal in the individual standing.
