Ri said the UN "sanctions resolution" is a wanton violation of the sovereignty of the DPRK and open challenge to the DPRK as it is a product of the U.S. heinous moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK.

The present reality clearly proves again the justice of the cause of our army and people who have devotedly upheld the great Party's line of simultaneously developing the two fronts and firmly strengthened the national power, tightening their belts in defiance of big difficulties and harsh ordeals, he stated, and went on:

If the U.S. goes reckless, not stopping its attempt to bring down the ideology, social system and people of the DPRK, its matchless revolutionary armed forces will inflict the most miserable and merciless punishment upon all the provokers.

He stressed the need to go all out to decisively smash the persistent sanctions and moves of the U.S. imperialists for stifling the DPRK and bring earlier the final victory of the historic cause of national reunification, the cause of the Songun revolution of Juche, united close around respected Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un.
