Scrapping of List of Korean Draftees Disclosed in Japan
Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- It was reportedly disclosed that a list of Korean workers who suffered compulsory hard labor at a shipyard in Nagasaki of Japan before the liberation of Korea was scrapped by a Japan local autonomous entity.

The Japanese newspaper Mainichi Shimbun on Aug. 8 said that Mitsubishi Heavy Industry presented a list of 3418 Korean workers to the judicial authorities of Nagasaki Prefecture in June 1948 and deposited money which had not been paid to them.

But the Nagasaki Prefecture judicial authorities willfully scrapped the list in 1970 under the pretext that its time limit was over.

The Koreans on the list lost their lives or suffered damage due to the A-bombs dropped by the U.S. imperialists.
