Before the meeting, they placed a floral basket and bouquets at the statues and paid tribute to the great leaders.

Choe Yong Rim, honorary vice-president of the SPA Presidium, made a speech at the meeting.

He referred to the fact that respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un took a step for the SPA deputies to make a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

Reflected in it are the Supreme Leader's deep trust and expectation that all the deputies will creditably discharge their mission and duty in the van of the general offensive for building a powerful socialist nation in the revolutionary spirit of Paektu, the spirit of the blizzards of Paektu, the speaker added.

He stressed the need for the deputies to grasp the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great persons associated with Mt Paektu more keenly through the study tour and harden their iron faith and will to accomplish the great cause of Paektu under the guidance of the Supreme Leader.

After the meeting the deputies went round the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo, the Ryanggang Provincial Revolutionary Museum, the Hyesan Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery, etc.
