Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- All the people in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are afire with the strong indignation against the U.S. which has gone crazy with reckless war hysteria, not content with sanctions and pressure upon the DPRK in cooperation with its servile forces. From every corner of the country can be heard the statement of the DPRK government, which rejected the UNSC "sanctions resolution" 2371, as well as anti-U.S. songs blared from loudspeakers. Press media also report about the public response and mass rallies supporting the government statement and calling for making a steady advance toward the final victory in socialism, true to the Workers' Party of Korea's line of simultaneously pushing forward the economic construction and building of nuclear force. Working people, youth and students across the country are petitioning to be allowed to join or rejoin the Korean People's Army, while members of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and other powerful civil defense forces of the country intensifying the combat and political training than ever before. When interviewed by KCNA, Pak Chol, a worker at the Chollima Steel Complex, said: We can never remain a passive onlooker to the war hysteria of megalomaniacal Yankees desperately keen on wringing our windpipe. As a member of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards, I will always get ready for action and once the zero hour offers itself, I will rush to the field of decisive battle, yelling the slogan "Destroy the U.S. imperialist aggressors, the sworn enemy of the Korean people!" |
