Japanese Authorities Flailed for Scheme to Cover up Truth about Sexual Slavery
|

Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Korean Committee on Measures for the Sexual Slavery for Japanese Army and Drafting Victims issued a statement Tuesday, 72 years since the end of World War II with the surrender of the Japanese imperialism which caused horrible disaster and casualties. The statement said: When the whole world mourns the guiltless war dead, high-ranking officials and politicians of Japan visited the Yasukuni Shrine which enshrines the departed soul of war criminals who took their lives and textbooks, which distorted the aggression war as "war of justice" and colonial rule over other nations as "cooperation and contribution" to the development and prosperity, found their way to younger generation. Moreover, they are busy reexamining the Kono statement, which officially recognizes sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, in a bid to overturn truth about it though it was proved materially and its illegalness was confirmed by the international law and staging a trial of the newspaper office which disclosed the sexual slavery. Japan is running amuck for international sanctions against the DPRK, citing a "threat" from it and creating extreme hostile sentiment and bad blood towards the DPRK and the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and Koreans in Japan. Lurking behind this ruckus is a cynical ploy to escape from Japan's reparation for its past crimes which it has evaded for decades. There is the only one option for Japan now when the DPRK's strategic position rises day by day as a nuclear power of Juche and the world's military power. The Japanese authorities should clearly know that it is destiny and necessity of Japan to adequately redress the unethical crimes committed against Korea and its people and honestly reflect on and assume responsibility for the crimes committed against the Asian people in the past including the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army. |
