S. Korean Organization Slams U.S. for Bringing Danger of Nuclear War
Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- The Family Movement for Realizing Democracy in south Korea held the 1133rd Thursday meeting in Seoul on Aug. 10 demanding the release of prisoners of conscience and the abrogation of the "Security Law" at which they denounced the U.S. for its moves to ignite a new war on the Korean peninsula, according to the south Korean online paper Jaju Sibo.

The speakers said that more than 2,000 figures of south Korea and other parts of the world sent a letter to the authorities calling for the release of the prisoners of conscience on Aug. 9 and the present chief executive should immediately release the prisoners of conscience who sacrificed themselves for the sake of democracy and the reunification of the country.

They said that the U.S. is the one which stirred up a war on the Korean peninsula, not the north, and Trump let out a flurry of such nonsense as "fire and fury", escalating the situation on the peninsula.

Only when the U.S. forces are withdrawn from south Korea and the U.S. hostile policy toward the north retracted, can true peace settle on the peninsula, they noted.
