Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un received a letter from the General Association of Koreans in China on Aug. 15, the 72nd anniversary of Korea's liberation. The letter said that the General Association of Koreans in China pay high tribute to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for achieving a great victory in the battles for liberating the country and laying lasting foundations for Korean revolution and offer the highest glory and warm congratulations to Kim Jong Un, who is leading to victory the cause of national independence with his Songun politics. It noted that the President built a new country where the people became masters for the first time in the nation's history spanning 5,000 years and registered a great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, performing immortal revolutionary feats before the country, people, era and history. It stated that Kim Jong Il, who inherited in its entirety the revolutionary cause of the President, firmly consolidated the country's war deterrent for self-defense with his Songun politics and scored a series of victories in the standoff with the U.S.-led imperialists, thus defending socialism centered on the masses. It praised Kim Jong Un as the great Songun brilliant commander who has turned Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea into a nuclear power of Juche, a matchless military power and invincible socialist bulwark admired by the world with his indefatigable devotion, while invariably holding the great leaders' idea of attaching importance to the army and the military affairs. The General Association of Koreans in China and all Koreans in China will wage a vigorous struggle to mercilessly foil the reckless provocations of the U.S. imperialists and war maniacs for a nuclear war targeting the north through the great unity of the whole nation and protect peace and security of the Korean peninsula and bring earlier a new morning of national reunification, the letter stressed. |
