Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- Dermot Hudson, chairman of the Korean Friendship Association UK, and his party and Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, who are participating in the 5th International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, visited the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front (AINDF) on Thursday. Chief Jo Il Min and members of the mission had a talk with them. Jo expressed thanks for various progressive organizations for their brisk activities in positive support of the just struggle of the AINDF and south Korean people. He stressed that the recent DPRK's successful second test-launch of ICBM Hwasong-14 serves as a historic event as it made a contribution to reliably defending the nation's dignity and sovereignty and ensuring peace and security on the Korean peninsula from the U.S. ever growing nuclear war threat. Noting that the south Korean puppet authorities are hell-bent on confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north, going sycophantic towards the U.S. while vociferating about "closer alliance" with the U.S., he informed the visitors of the recent national reunification movement and peace actions against the U.S. and war waged by the south Korean people. The chairmen of the British and Swiss bodies vehemently denounced the sanctions of the U.S. and south Korea to stifle the DPRK and their frantic war racket as extremely dangerous criminal acts as they drive the situation on the Korean peninsula into a catastrophic phase. They expressed their will to denounce the Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military maneuvers of the U.S. and puppet warmongers which aim at preemptive attack on the DPRK and further strengthen the activities for supporting the struggle of the south Korean people. |
